Introducing new products to your routine
Typically, we recommend that you introduce new products to your routine slowly, so as not to overwhelm your skin with all the new ingredients you’re using. One to two products every two weeks is a good place to start. Did you know that it takes on average, 21 days from the time a skin cell is created to the time it’s on the surface of your skin? (Mindblown!) The thing to remember about organic skincare is, because we’re working with the natural rhythms of your body, it’ll take a little longer for you to see results. Instead of using harsh chemicals that “attack” the body to treat symptoms, organic skincare works together with your body to help itself heal. Read all about how our skincare is a balanced nutrition for the skin (like a diet!) and why there are no quick fixes in slow skincare.
Seasonal skincare
Just like you would change your wardrobe in the wintertime, your skincare needs to change with the weather around you. Here are our general guidelines for different seasons of the year.
Spring – Spring clean your routine
Summer – Oils and Hydrosols
Late summer – the Fifth Season in Traditional Chinese Medicine by Dr. Lydia Au DACM of The Beauty Within
Autumn – Our fall routine
Winter – Using occlusives and emollients
